PRACTICAL SKILLS

The skills I have developed over the course of the project:

Over the course of the project, these are the skills I have developed: I learned how to control my vibrato without tension and used this knowledge to help me become a better singer. I also experimented with various vocal sounds/techniques: such as brief, popping sounds and fast runs. I used my time over the project as a chance to play around with my tone and sound, to experiment with new ways of singing, overcoming struggles with research and manipulating the regular way id perform a melody to see what worked best.

My teamwork and overall communication skills have improved: usually, I would be too shy to voice concerns but I made it my duty to try and put the group back on track, make sure we had a plan for each session and ensured we got work done when we needed to. This did cause a small issue where some thought I was bossy but, without me suggesting for us to practice a song one last time before our break, we wouldn't have been able to complete some of the work we needed to do and so I was forgiven and understood. There may be a need for me to work on the balance between speaking out and being not very nice to work with though. Being able to compromise and listen to other band members' ideas

My time management skills also saw improvement as I made a weekly plan to complete work. This was successful for a long time until near the end where I had a lot more work to do than I thought. I usually leave things right up until the last minute to ensure the right push and motivation to complete it and it works for me but may not be helpful on the next projects. I will be sure to work on this further too.
